President Clinton and Hillary Rodham Clinton Kick-off the Clinton/Gore Campaign’s "Get Out the Women’s Vote Weekend," Activities to be Held in 35 States

Washington, D.C. -- President Clinton and First Lady Hillary Rodham Clinton will kick-off the Clinton/Gore Campaign’s "Get Out the Women’s Vote Weekend," which is Saturday and Sunday, October 26-27. Women from across the nation will participate in GOTV events this weekend that are designed to generate enthusiasm and mobilize women to cast their ballot for Clinton/Gore on November 5.

On October 27, President Clinton will speak at a Clinton/Gore Virginia Women’s GOTV rally at Lee High School Park in Springfield. Mrs. Clinton will attend a Clinton/Gore ‘96 New Jersey Women’s GOTV Kickoff at the Garden State Park Pavilion in Cherry Hill. Both will discuss the importance of the women’s vote on Election Day 1996.

Throughout the weekend, women nationwide will participate in rallies, press conferences, breakfast meetings, letter-writing drives, and other activities to raise awareness and encourage women to vote for the Clinton/Gore ticket on Election Day.
