PRESIDENT CLINTON, VICE PRESIDENT GORE, AND FIRST LADY HILLARY RODHAM CLINTON TO KICK OFF "COLLEGE DAY" ON OCTOBER 22

Activities to be held in 15 states

Washington, D.C. -- President Bill Clinton, Vice President Al Gore, and First Lady Hillary Rodham Clinton will kick off the Clinton/Gore campaign’s "College Day" on Tuesday, October 22. "College Day" is a national effort to speak directly to college students across the country and encourage their participation in this critical election.

On October 22, President Clinton will speak to students at Miami-Dade Community College, Vice President Gore will speak to students at South Dakota School of Mines and Technology, and Mrs. Clinton will speak at University of Nevada-Las Vegas in the Arternus W. Ham Concert Hall.

There will be "College Day" events in 15 states sponsored by the Coordinated Campaign that will bring together students, celebrities, elected officials, and activists from across the nation to talk about the importance of young people in this election and how they can and will use their voices and their votes.
