Today, September 17, 1996, the Clinton/Gore ‘96 campaign announces a new ad entitled "Sad". The text of the ad follows:

It’s sad. All Bob Dole offers are negative attacks.

President Clinton is fighting drugs -- appointing a four star general Drug Czar.

Dole voted against even creating the office of drug czar.

President Clinton strengthened school anti-drug programs. Dole/Gingrich tried to slash ‘em 50%.

President Clinton expanded the death penalty for drug kingpins; now wants drug testing to keep abusers locked up.

President Clinton: endorsed by the largest police organization for fighting crime...protecting our values.
